TEACHING PLAN
CURRICULUM
I followed their curriculum, Curriculum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum), in a way that was somewhat similar to the teachers' style in Muhjitos. For the most part, I made the students responsible for their own learning by having them brainstorm about the topic, answer questions I asked, try to construct sentences and speak in English, and so on. However, as I stated in previous parts, I do not usually and entirely conform, so I established a twist to at least provide a challenge in my class.
I employed physical educational resources to aid students' learning and made the class engaging yet enjoyable through games. Because I believe they are easily bored at this stage of their lives, one of the most popular and effective methods to use in class to make it more interesting is the Gamification Approach. After that, I gave tokens of appreciation.
Through this, they do not just play a game, but they are independently learning by accepting the challenge, just as what the curriculum wants them to do.
TEACHING PLAN TO MAJOR
Below are the examples of Teaching or Lesson Plan in the school. The format is substantially different from what I used to create in the Philippines because we do Detailed Lesson Plans that are more than 20 pages long, which is why I had culture shock when I discovered that their Lesson Plan is only 1-2 pages long. However, it was a great experience to be able to craft a different lesson plan because I learned something new in doing LPs.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS USED
“Teacher is the best instructional material,” they say. Teacher being present in class and having the ability to discuss the subject matter is sufficient. However, because what I participated in was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, even though I was aware that conveying the lesson with a power point presentation would serve for the discussion, I still tried to be extra. And even if I didn’t have enough time to craft a grand and pleasing IMs, I exerted my 100% power just to come up with a material that I had in my mind. Apart from the power point presentation, the Spin the Wheel was the first instructional material I utilized in my first lesson. They only needed to spin each wheel to create a desired example sentence. This was time-consuming to create because I stayed up until 3 am to finish this one, but thinking of the students and their better, yet simple way of understanding the lesson, I did it. The second IMs are flags adapted to the color of the Indonesian flag (as a reminder of how much I adore this country) and a box in which I placed the written questions that they must answer verbally. Creating these materials made me realize how crucial student understanding and learning are for me, because they were the primary reason for which I created these instructional materials regardless of the limited time.
